A Shared Waqf for Our Community A partnership between the Masjid and its Community Our Masjid is exploring a long-term waqf initiative to build financial sustainability for generations to come. Rather than relying on constant fundraising appeals, we are working towards a shared waqf model where the Masjid and community members partner together to acquire property assets that generate ongoing income. Over time, these assets would transition into permanent waqf ownership, creating lasting benefit for our community.
This is not about speculation or quick returns — it is about collective responsibility and permanence. Many in our community already provide qard hasan or long-term donations with no expectation of return. This model simply adds structure, transparency, and a clear path towards a permanent endowment. Any participation would be motivated by faith, community benefit, and the desire to leave something solid and lasting for future generations.
We are gathering community interest and feedback to understand if this vision resonates with you.
