CMS Boys Football Teams – MFA Cup Tournament (Ages 8–15)

Chelmsford Muslim Society (CMS) will be entering boys’ teams into the upcoming MFA Cup Tournament hosted by The Deen Squad Football Academy.
This event brings together Muslim teams from East London and Essex, giving our boys another chance to grow in their football, compete with confidence, and represent the community with discipline, resilience and good character.

Tournament Details
The tournament will take place on Sunday 15th February 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Bobby Moore 4G, Parsloes Park, Dagenham, RM9 5PU.

Age Groups and Format
This tournament is open to boys aged between 8 and 15. Matches will be played as 7-a-side and each squad will consist of a maximum of ten players. Trophies and medals will be awarded for winners and runners-up.

Registration Cost
The fee is £12.50 per player. This contribution covers tournament entry, coordination and admin time, training sessions and additional team resources. CMS will be investing time, effort and funding to help our squads prepare well and perform to the best of their ability.

Registration and Selection
Parents must complete the registration form at the bottom of this page. Registering a child does not guarantee selection. Squads will be chosen based on performance in training, commitment, discipline, teamwork and suitability for the final side. If a child is not selected for the match-day squad the fee will be refunded in full. Parents will be added to a WhatsApp group for updates, training reminders and logistical information. Players who are not selected for the match-day squad will receive a £6 refund, which reflects their share of the tournament entry fee. The remaining portion of the £12.50 is used to cover training sessions, equipment, administration, coaching time and preparation that benefits all registered players whether selected or not.

Training and Player Development
Training sessions will run before tournament day. Attendance at training sessions is essential. Coaches will evaluate attitude, effort and improvement. Parents are strongly encouraged to play an active role by ensuring children attend on time, practise outside of sessions and build fitness, confidence and discipline at home. The more consistent the support, the stronger our players will be.

Transport
Transport may be arranged from the Hamptons area, depending on availability. However, seats cannot be guaranteed for every child. Parents are kindly requested to assist where possible by driving, sharing lifts or coordinating with other parents through the WhatsApp group.

Kit and Equipment
Players must bring shin pads, football boots suitable for 4G or astro turf (no metal studs), warm clothing suitable for weather conditions and a clearly labelled water bottle.

Conduct and Behaviour
Players are expected to behave respectfully towards referees, coaches, teammates and opposition. They must demonstrate discipline, teamwork and good manners, reflecting positively on themselves, CMS and the wider Muslim community. Poor behaviour on or off the pitch, including argumentative conduct, rough play or disrespectful language, will not be tolerated.

CMS looks forward to building on the success, excitement and team spirit shown at the last tournament and hopes to provide another memorable and meaningful experience for all involved. Registration form can be found below.
